About The Position

As the Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing all facility equipment. This includes coordinating new installations in accordance with NEC, company, and manufacturer standards, overseeing contractors and electrical projects, and assisting others with repairs. You will also be on call to respond to facility emergencies during unscheduled hours and perform other functions as assigned.

Requirements

  • E2 License
  • Ability to read drawings and schematics
  • Utilize a variety of test equipment
  • Work with high voltage (480V)
  • Maintain and drive safety policies to all associates; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
  • May be required to lift up to 75lbs.
  • The ability to operate required facility equipment
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit throughout your day
  • Walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile etc
  • Ability to provide & receive constructive feedback
  • Communication of expectations and directions clearly

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) - Seven (7) years of experience as an electrician
  • Familiarity with PLC systems, motor controls, VFD’s etc
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership

Responsibilities

  • Performing hands-on repair and maintenance of electrical work for all facility-related items.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting power distribution panels, warehouse/facility equipment etc.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical failures in charging stations, HVAC systems and emergency power systems.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.
  • Identifying and resolving electrical issues to minimize equipment downtime within the distribution center.
  • Using tools, schematics and blue prints to trace faults in electrical circuits and control systems.
  • Ensuring all electrical work follows OSHA, NEC, NFPA and local building codes/regulations.
  • Maintaining detailed records for inspections, repairs and equipment upgrades.
  • Inspecting and testing back up generators, fire alarm systems and emergency lighting to ensure compliance.
  • Assisting in new electrical installations, facility expansions and energy efficiency projects.
  • Upgrading and modifying electrical panels, circuit layouts and warehouse systems to meet operational needs.
  • Collaborating with engineers and technicians on new equipment installs and system enhancements.
  • Assisting other co-workers on projects and employee functions as needed.
  • Emergency call-ins response to power outages and equipment failures as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
