About The Position

PCSI is looking for a seasoned Electrician to provide electrical installation, maintenance, and repair services for the facility’s electrical system. The ideal candidate will be proactive and take pride in their accomplishments. This position is a union role located at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, MI, with a shift from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. PCSI is a non-profit organization and federal contractor that supports various clients across the United States, with a mission to integrate veterans and individuals with disabilities into meaningful employment. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum four (4) years recent/relevant experience as a maintenance electrician.
Working knowledge of all national, state, and local electrical codes.
Willing and able to successfully and safely wear all protective gear, respirators as required by PCSI and all federal, state, and local regulations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with maintenance personnel, subcontractors, and government representatives.
Ability to use a tablet or mobile device to access, update, and complete work orders, inspections, and maintenance records using Microsoft Office applications.
Able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend and climb (e.g., ladders, stairs) for extended/repetitive periods, and carry loads weighing over 50 pounds.
Successfully pass pre-employment criminal, drug, financial, and driving screening.
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance, including a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) investigation.
Maintain valid State of Michigan driver’s license and remain insurable to operate Company vehicles.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program preferred.
Mathematical and analytical skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain low to medium voltage electrical systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays, panelboards, and distribution systems.
Support planned electrical outages and perform annual inspections of electrical distribution equipment, including work performed during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Maintain and repair interior and exterior lighting systems, emergency lighting units, exit signs, lamps, ballasts, and fixtures.
Operate, inspect, test, and maintain emergency generators and automatic transfer switches (ATS), including supporting load testing.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install conduit, inserts, splicing and connecting wire to fixtures, outlets, switches, receptacles, and power sources.
Record operating data, maintenance activities, equipment deficiencies, and corrective actions in maintenance management systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings (ISOs), material takeoffs, field sketches, and specifications.
Follow established safety practices and procedures, including all OSHA, NFPA, NEC, lockout/tagout, and arc-flash safety requirements.
Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergency service calls as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
