The technician will diagnose and repair electrical issues from 24V control systems up to 480V power distribution, adhering to safety practices. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, control system, and robotic issues to minimize downtime, diagnosing equipment failures using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis, and supporting Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs with fault finding and ladder logic adjustments. The position also requires installation, maintenance, and repair of Variable Frequency Drives, Photo Eyes, Limit Switches, and Servo Motors/motion control systems. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting and supporting FANUC robotics systems, including diagnosing alarms, performing basic teach pendant operations, and supporting end-of-arm tooling and safety circuits. Preventative maintenance on equipment such as conveyors, presses, and stackers is also a key responsibility. The technician must be able to read and understand mechanical prints, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams, as well as install, wire, and repair electrical panels, control circuits, and field devices. Experience with setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining HMIs, and replacing, testing, and aligning three-phase motors is required. The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, ladder logic, and technical manuals, along with supporting equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives, is essential. Collaboration with operations and maintenance team members to resolve equipment concerns, clear communication with all facility levels, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety policies, and lockout/tagout procedures are also critical. Accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage is required. The role may also involve fabrication of equipment (welding), making adjustments to improve productivity, identifying unusual sounds indicating potential trouble, and dismantling equipment to access defective parts.
