Premier Generators, a Power Support Partners Company, is seeking an Electrician specializing in Generator Installation to join their fast-growing team in Tennessee. The role involves installing, wiring, maintaining, and servicing backup power systems for residential properties. Key duties include making electrical connections between generators, transfer switches, and main service panels, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards. The Electrician will also diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, verify load distribution, and ensure reliable generator performance. Collaboration with other installation team members is essential for efficient and code-compliant installations. The position emphasizes safety, precision, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Skillfully install residential backup generators in compliance with manufacturer specifications, local electrical codes, and safety guidelines.
Conduct thorough on-site assessments to determine the most suitable location for the generator, considering factors such as proximity to the main electrical panel, noise considerations, fuel sources, and proper ventilation.
Connect the generator to the main electrical panel through an automatic transfer switch (ATS) or manual transfer switch, ensuring correct wiring, load balancing, and circuit protection.
Assemble and install generator components, including engines, alternators, exhaust systems, and fuel systems, following manufacturer guidelines and best practices.
Integrate the generator with the appropriate fuel source, such as natural gas lines or propane tanks, and ensure efficient fuel delivery to the generator system.
Thoroughly test and commission the generator to ensure it functions reliably, automatically starts during power outages, and supplies the required power to essential circuits.
Educate homeowners about the generator's operation, maintenance requirements, and emergency procedures. Address any client inquiries and concerns regarding the system.
Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, repairs, and client interactions. Complete necessary paperwork and reports for both clients and internal use.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols, electrical codes, and relevant regulations to ensure the safety of yourself, clients, and team members.
Collaborate effectively with project managers, fellow installers, and support staff to ensure smooth project coordination and successful installations.
