About The Position

Westfalia Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Controls Assembler to join our growing team! The position of Industrial Controls Assembler is responsible for the assembly and wiring electrical panels and motor controls, among other duties, providing support to the electrical area in the Production Shop.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring and controls
  • Ability to read/use measuring devices ruler, tape measure etc.
  • Ability to read schematics and electrical drawings
  • Ability to read and follow blueprint drawings
  • Ability to use various power tools and electrical test equipment
  • Strong background in electrical panel assembly and machine wiring
  • Ability to accurately distinguish between color-coded wiring, cables, and electrical components is required to safely perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to recognize and assemble various electrical equipment components
  • Willingness to work overtime, as needed
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
  • Possesses positive attitude in a team working environment
  • Safe working practices and compliance with company safety standards
  • Must have own tools. Such as: (Screw drivers, Wrenches, Pliers, etc.)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Machine assembly experience, including use of general shop hand tools

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with identification software and labeling equipment is a plus
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office suite and TEAMs
  • Experience in diagnosing AC and DC power circuits with voltages up to 600 VAC.
  • Experience with UL 508A panel construction practices.
  • Ability to operate overhead crane (Training Provided)

Responsibilities

  • Wire machine controls and motors according to schematics
  • Ensure all devices, cables, and photo eyes are installed to blueprint specifications
  • Lay out and wire control panels and junction boxes according to schematics
  • Perform control testing as required
  • Maintain a safe work ethic and clean work area
  • Provide “in house” electrical maintenance as required. (Skill/Experience Dependent)
  • Support shop assembly personnel as needed
