About The Position

The Mine Maintenance Electrician is part of the Mine Maintenance team. He/She is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems, communication networks, and mining operation equipment.

Requirements

• Vocational Diploma (DEP) in electricity or equivalent trade certification.
• Valid Certificate of Qualification (Licence C, non-construction).
• Minimum of 5 years of electrical maintenance experience in the mining industry.
• Knowledge of SAP CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid explosives permit.
• Completion of Mining Modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical distribution and communication networks.
• Maintain electrical equipment such as fans, compressors, bolters, jumbo drills, pumping systems, and other mining equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Maintain hoists/winches in accordance with CNESST inspection requirements and associated procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Perform maintenance on electrical systems and ensure records are kept up to date.
• Complete work orders and requisition materials as required.
• Comply with and enforce work procedures, health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and respect for surrounding communities.
• Perform all other related duties as required.
