About The Position

Our client in the agricultural sector, based in Kirkwood, is seeking an Electrician/Millwright to join their team. The role involves preventative maintenance and breakdown work, plant inspections, fault-finding, equipment repairs, workshop fabrication, and equipment assembly and installation. The successful candidate will help maintain health and safety, environmental, quality, and housekeeping standards, and may be required to lead a team.

Requirements

• Trade-tested Artisan (Electrician or Millwright).
• At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant trade.
• Strong mechanical background.
• Code 08 driver's license.
• Own reliable transport.
• Willingness to work overtime and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health and safety, environmental, quality, and housekeeping requirements.
• Execute preventative maintenance and breakdown work.
• Plan allocated work.
• Apply fault-finding techniques and repair equipment defects.
• Clean, maintain, and repair mechanical parts, components, and equipment as directed by the manager.
• Conduct regular plant inspections.
• Carry out workshop fabrication, equipment assembly, and installation.
• Attain and maintain relevant licenses and authorizations required for allocated duties, such as basic rigging and working at heights.
• Lead a team when required.
