About The Position

Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using hand tools and testing instruments to supply electrical power for lighting, equipment and machine operations. This role requires full proficiency in a range of technical processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. The individual will complete a variety of atypical assignments, working within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies, and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments. They will work with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments, and act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience. Performs manual tasks according to established procedures.

Requirements

Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Electrical Wiring Installation
Install Electrical Services
Reading Blueprints/Diagrams
Safety Inspections
Troubleshooting Electrical Codes

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree
Technical training preferred
Electrician's license granted by state

Responsibilities

Inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected.
Uses a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
Replaces conduit, wiring and circuit breakers as needed.
May need to stand for long periods of time.
Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
May be requested to work a different shift.
Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
