About The Position

This role involves performing a variety of electrical tasks including inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical infrastructure and equipment. The position requires adherence to safety guidelines and effective communication with team members and supervisors. The work is performed at Cenovus - Christina Lake North on a 14 days on / 14 days off shift schedule, with 12-hour workdays. Camp accommodation and paid travel time are provided.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Valid Drivers Abstract - No more than 4 demerit points

Responsibilities

  • Inspection of existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Diagnose condition of existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Recommend best-fit solutions for existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Service and repair existing electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Construction of new “trade” infrastructure.
  • Assembly and installation of new and replacement electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Communication of inspections, diagnoses, preventative maintenance, recommendations, construction, service / repair, and installation of electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Documentation of inspections, diagnoses, preventative maintenance, recommendations, construction, service / repair, and installation of electrical infrastructure, equipment, and related components.
  • Follow safety guidelines, approved processes and procedures on the job site.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to minimize disruptions and maximize productivity.
  • Work cohesively with teams of employees or contractors.
  • Communicate in a polite and courteous manner.
