About The Position

Provides operations and production support by providing electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and installation.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in electrical engineering, journeyman experience, or completion of a trade school program.
  • 5+ years’ experience as an industrial electrician.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E: National Electric Code.
  • 2-3 years’ experience using various types of electrical testing equipment.
  • 2-3 years’ experience reading schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
  • 2-3 years’ experience troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical equipment ranging from 480Vac to 24Vdc.
  • 1-2 years’ experience troubleshooting, repairing, and installing various types of controls equipment such as relays, motor starters, pushbuttons, switches, etc.
  • 1-2 years’ experience troubleshooting, repairing, and installing Allen-Bradley PLC’s and controls.
  • 1-2 years’ experience troubleshooting, repairing, and installing AC/DC drives and motors.
  • 2-3 years’ experience troubleshooting, repairing, and installing various types of conduits, cable tray and wire.
  • Ability to utilize computer operating systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Grade of 70% or above on “Electrician Aptitude Test”.
  • Average leadership skills, work ethic and problem solving.
  • Able to work any shift, overtime, and rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Performs corrective and preventative electrical maintenance.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electrical and electronic equipment and instrumentation systems using schematics, drawings, and other technical documentation.
  • Performs electrical installation of new plant equipment and processes, including routing of electrical conduits, cable, or wire from current power sources.
  • Instruct, implement, and enforce the company safety program and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Keeps maintenance shop, and all materials storage areas neat, clean, and free of debris.
  • Complies with all environmental, health, safety, and housekeeping programs.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned by supervisor and/or higher classifications.
