About The Position

The Electrician I repairs, maintains, and sets up production equipment as needed, applying technical knowledge and experience to complete repairs and setups safely and accurately. The role includes installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment; performing production setups and inspections; and completing basic electrical work and PLC troubleshooting. The position is based at the McComb, Ohio facility and is offered on 2nd or 3rd shift.

Requirements

• Four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including adding and subtracting two-digit numbers and multiplying and dividing with tens and hundreds, including use of American money and weight, volume, and distance measurements.
• Ability to follow detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to perform the essential duties, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment setups according to manufacturer requirements.
• Plan the layout, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
• Read and understand manufacturers’ preventive maintenance recommendations.
• Perform production setups and inspections in a timely manner.
• Maintain the tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned duties.
• Read and understand basic electrical schematics.
• Perform basic electrical work, including replacing motors and switches and working on basic relay circuits.
• Troubleshoot PLCs.
• Repair and maintain production equipment as needed, ensuring repairs and setups are safe and accurate.
