Under minimum supervision, performs diagnostic, service, and installation electrical work in residential customers' homes. Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes. Communicates with customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure satisfaction. Promotes products and services. Works under the direction of the Field Supervisor or Branch Manager. Analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves customer problems courteously, professionally, timely, and accurately. Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components using test equipment and hand tools. May provide preliminary sketches or cost estimates. Inspects electrical systems for hazards, defects, or need for repair, ensuring code compliance. Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices. Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes. Repairs or replaces wiring, equipment, or fixtures. Connects wires to components like circuit breakers and transformers. Fastens boxes to walls for switches or outlets. Places conduit and pulls wires through it. Installs ground leads and connects power cables to equipment. Constructs and fabricates parts. Uses various tools and equipment, including power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Works from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs. Maintains current electrician's license. Ensures company property, vehicles, and tools are maintained and accounted for. Follows procedures for vehicle stocking, return of defective parts, and replenishment of stock. Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically. Performs similar/other duties as needed or assigned.
