About The Position

Performs installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance on electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment by performing the following duties. This position is not limited to those duties listed in the job description. Duties and responsibilities can be changed, expanded, reduced, or deleted to meet the business needs of the company.

Requirements

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the repair and preventative maintenance of electrical circuits, fixtures, and equipment.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum of one year of experience in electrical installations or repair and/or a certificate from an accredited technical school
Must be 21 years of age or older

Responsibilities

Assist with installations and repairs to all single and three-phase circuits, equipment, motors, and fixtures, from 480 to 120 volts required for the completion of projects under the direction of the Lead Electrician.
Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.
Drill holes for wiring and pull or push wiring through openings.
Review and verify work requests daily for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, perform the work required, and turn in completed work orders upon completion of tasks assigned that day.
Monitor dispatch calls on the radio for problems needing immediate attention, respond to these calls immediately, and inform management of any equipment needing further repairs or adjustment.
Perform all repairs correctly, and clean up the area of all debris before leaving the area.
Follow all regulations pertaining to the handling of hazardous materials at their disposal and enter all transactions in appropriate documentation.
Observe all safety and security procedures, determine appropriate action beyond guidelines, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
Follow instructions, respond to management direction, take responsibility for own actions, keep commitments, and commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals. Complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality; apply feedback to improve performance; monitor own work to ensure quality.
