Electrician HSM Maintenance
About The Position
ArcelorMittal Calvert is seeking an Electrician HSM Maintenance to provide electrical support for the Hot Strip Mill to meet business goals. The company utilizes innovative technology to create steel for various applications and emphasizes digitalization and advanced technology. ArcelorMittal Calvert is a state-of-the-art steel processing facility located in Calvert, Alabama, with a significant capacity for high-value steel grades in the North America market. The company prioritizes health and safety, holding ISO 45001 certification and achieving a Total Recordable Incident Rate significantly lower than the industry average. They recently expanded with a new Steelmaking facility and are looking for individuals to join their team and contribute to the future of steel production.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- 3 years' electrical maintenance experience
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and understand electrical/electronic components/inverters
- Basics of digital technology, programmable logic controllers (PLC)
- Ability to work with electrical measurement
- Knowledge of AC motors, drives, sensors and actors
- Knowledge of switchgears
- Knowledge of network technology Microsoft
- Ability to read and understand hydraullic and mechanical drawings as well as P&ID's
Nice To Haves
- Internship of Associate's Degree
- Experience in the steel industry or other industrial setting
- Knowledge of QA/QC Inspections
- Experience and knowledge of furnaces, power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, automation systems, measurement systems, instrumentation equipment, and hydraulic systems
- Experience with SAP
Responsibilities
- Performs maintenance inspections including, but not limited to, electrical components, power distribution, instrumentation, motors, etc.
- Housekeeping; Responsible for cleanliness of a designated area
- Analysis, solving and reporting of electrical problems and failures
- Support development of improvement programs
- Ensure proper safety, environmental, and quality of asset area
- Support the mechanical colleagues in failure investigation
- Takeover and fulfilling of maintenance work orders on a scheduled and unscheduled basis
- Order spare parts from the spare part warehouse
- Perform and assist in Lock Out Try Out of equipment systems, systems and sub-systems
- Cooperation with other maintenance departments
- Reporting of maintenance issues and breakdowns in SAP
