About The Position

The Electrician Helper 1 assists skilled craft workers with assigned duties and performs physical labor at construction sites. The role involves a variety of tasks and requires following instructions, prioritizing safety, maintaining orderly work areas, and learning to identify hazards related to installed equipment or systems.

Requirements

• May require a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Possess working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
• Understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management and supervision.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.
• Meet all physical requirements.
• Have all required tools.
• Be able to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces, potentially exceeding 200 feet.
• Be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by workload.

Responsibilities

• Assist craftsmen with setting up work as required.
• Follow instructions from superintendents, foremen, and other experienced crew members.
• Perform required duties with safety as the first priority.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Read and understand warning signs, equipment operating instructions, jobsite safety rules, and jobsite policies.
• Observe the functioning of installed equipment or systems to identify hazards.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
• Perform other duties as required.
