Rabalais I&E Constructors seeks experienced Electrical General Foreman in the Texas City, Texas area. An electrical foreman is a skilled supervisor who leads a crew of electricians and apprentices on construction or industrial projects, ensuring that electrical systems are installed, maintained, or repaired safely, efficiently, and in compliance with codes and specifications. The electrical foreman role blends technical electrical knowledge with supervisory and project management skills, making them essential to the safe and efficient completion of electrical construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily tasks of electricians and apprentices, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Reads and interprets electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to plan work sequences, material needs, and timelines
  • Works with project managers, engineers, architects, and other trade foremen to align schedules, avoid delays, and resolve inter-trade issues
  • Inspects completed installations to ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and other applicable codes; corrects deficiencies before inspections
  • Enforces OSHA and site-specific safety protocols, conducts hazard assessments, and ensures proper PPE and lock-out/tag-out procedures
  • Orders supplies, tracks deliveries, and manages inventory to prevent work stoppages
  • Guides and trains junior electricians, sharing best practices and technical knowledge
  • Maintains records of work progress, labor hours, safety incidents, and material usage for reporting and audits
  • Troubleshoots electrical issues on-site and implements solutions to maintain system integrity and project timelines
