The Electrician Foreman is responsible for supervising electrical installations, ensuring work is completed according to specifications, safety standards, and building codes. This role involves overseeing a team of electricians and helpers, providing technical guidance, and ensuring that all work on the job site is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an electrician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Valid Georgia Electrician License and/or Journeyman Certification
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and building codes
  • Proven experience in managing teams, assigning tasks, and providing technical guidance
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical codes, technical instructions, and work orders.
  • Able to effectively communicate with clients, project managers, and team members, providing clear instructions and ensuring tasks are understood and followed.
  • Proficient in performing basic and advanced arithmetic, including measuring distances, calculating material requirements, and interpreting electrical load calculations.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Able to apply logical thinking to solve problems on the job site.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and troubleshoot electrical issues, providing efficient solutions that meet safety standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of electricians and helpers on job sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to code
  • Plan and lay out project work from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions.
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and company standards
  • Conduct regular job site inspections to monitor progress, enforce quality control, and resolve issues quickly
  • Coordinate material deliveries, tool usage, and equipment needs to maintain project efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, project managers, and team members regarding job progress, timelines, and issues
  • Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and technical guidance to team members
  • Enforce all safety protocols and ensure team compliance with OSHA and company safety policies
  • Directly oversee the daily activities of electricians and helpers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, on time, and in compliance with electrical codes
  • Ensure that all electrical work meets quality standards, industry regulations, and safety codes.
  • Perform routine inspections and address issues proactively
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety guidelines, reducing risk and maintaining a safe job site environment
