About The Position

This role is for an experienced Electrician who is looking to transition into an Electrical Estimator position. It offers a structured career path from hands-on fieldwork into estimating and project planning, combining technical expertise with cost analysis and client interaction. The role begins with a hybrid phase, involving both fieldwork and estimating support, where the individual will apply electrical trade knowledge across residential, commercial, and light industrial projects, assist with service calls, troubleshooting, and project support, and collaborate with management to develop scopes, timelines, and preliminary cost estimates. During this phase, the individual will learn estimating tools, software, and internal processes, and communicate with clients, vendors, and project teams to gather project details. The position then transitions fully into an Estimator Role, where the individual will prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals, review blueprints, specifications, and site conditions, analyze material, labor, and project requirements, build and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and customers, support business development through competitive and strategic bidding, and collaborate with leadership on pricing and project planning.
