About The Position

Plan, lay out, install, test, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment, and control systems in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The role includes troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and working with high- and low-voltage systems in construction and industrial settings.

Requirements

May require a high school diploma or equivalent, along with prior experience in the field or a related area.
Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and a fit-for-duty medical examination.
Must have the required tools.
Must be able to perform the physical and work-environment demands described for the position, including moving about construction and industrial sites, climbing and maintaining balance at height, working in confined or uneven areas, and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Interpret drawings, sketches, software, and plans, and determine appropriate work procedures, tools, and equipment to troubleshoot and repair problems.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; and make terminations.
Install control and distribution apparatus and fasten them in place.
Test and start up systems and check circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and component safety.
Observe installed equipment and systems to identify hazards and determine whether adjustments, relocation, or replacement are needed.
Pull wire through conduit and connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment as required.
Work with high- and low-voltage systems.
Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.
Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools and power, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools.
Observe and comply with safety and project rules and perform other duties as required.
