Requirements

Diplôme d’études professionnelles - DEP (Québec) or completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent (ON) in Electricity
Provincial Certificate of Qualification as a licensed Industrial Electrician (licence C) in Quebec or a Certification of Qualification - Licensed Industrial Electrician (442A) in Ontario
Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years related practical technical experience in an industrial environment maintaining controls and electrical equipment
Valid Class 5 (QC) driver's license and insurable driving record
Fully autonomous skills in all aspects of Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, motors, breakers, cables, transformers, generators and circuits.
Knowledge of applicable procedures, rules, regulations, standards and safe work practices with respect to performing duties.
Eligibility for Marine Transportation Security Clearance.
Availability to undergo medical test, functional abilities evaluation and drugs test.
Ability to work at height, depth, near open water and/or confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, maintain, inspect, test and troubleshoot a variety of electrical systems and equipment (such Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers, motors, breakers, cables, transformers, generators and circuits).
Perform installation, repair and maintenance on the distribution of power lines, submarine and underground cables and sub-station equipment.
Perform work in accordance with applicable Electrical codes and/or Engineering/Technical specifications.
Maintain electrical equipment, according to the preventive maintenance program.
Respond efficiently and effectively to electrical service calls.
