About The Position

Monogram Aerospace Fasteners is seeking an Electrician "B" for their 2nd shift operations. This role is responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery, equipment, and facilities. The electrician will investigate electrical and mechanical issues, diagnose problems, and implement corrective actions. This position involves troubleshooting and reworking electrical and pneumatic control systems. The role requires working under general direction with periodic supervision and may involve other duties as needed to meet production requirements.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to read and write English at a level required for shop documents, computer software entry, and technical manuals.
  • Capability to apply mathematical operations using fractions, decimals, algebra, and geometry.
  • Generally equivalent to a journeyman trade school graduate or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience at the journeyman level or equivalent skills and working knowledge in facility and industrial machine electric installations and repairs.
  • Journeyman's working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • Ability to read instruments such as various gauges and meters.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, machine schematics, and blueprints.
  • Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15, or obtain any required government authorization, due to access to technical data subject to U.S. export control laws.
  • Successful completion of a drug screen.
  • Satisfactory results of a reference/background check.
  • Signing a Confidential Information and Invention Assignment Agreement.
  • Signing an Agreement to Arbitrate.

Responsibilities

  • Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
  • Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
  • Install wiring, conduit, lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, and other electrical devices requiring hard wiring to the facility power supply.
  • Install telephone wiring and communications cables (e.g., data processing lines) that require running inside walls, above ceilings, or below floors.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, pneumatic controls, and lighting fixtures, and replace damaged or broken parts.
  • Perform troubleshooting or rework of electrical or pneumatic control systems.
  • Test malfunctioning machinery and collaborate with other maintenance workers to determine repair strategies.
  • Replace faulty electrical components of machines or equipment, such as relays, switches, and motors.
  • Replace electric motor bearings.
  • Monitor and test electrical components to maintain proper working order and prevent production delays.
  • Perform other maintenance trade work as required, such as plumbing and carpentry, when electrical workload is low.
  • Participate in problem-solving, team building, and other team activities to improve processes, productivity, and quality.
  • Use interpersonal skills and good written and verbal communication.
  • Assist other department members as required.
  • Maintain own tool kit and advise supervision on the need for special tools.
  • Ensure proper functioning of electrical and electronic components for efficient operation of production machines and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with appropriate personnel regarding quality, safety, timeliness, or equipment issues.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to the National Electric Code and Company Safety Rules.
  • Show initiative in maintaining electrical items and suggest improvements for machines, equipment, lighting, and wiring.
  • Use ingenuity in planning, layout, and devising proper installations or repairs.
  • Take on or report for additional work as current tasks are completed.
