Electrician Assembler
About The Position
This position is responsible for the assembly and wiring of electrical components in electrical cabinets. The employee will actively participate in safety program activities, follow all safety and housekeeping rules, assemble electrical cabinets, and install conduit. The role involves working to gain knowledge and new techniques to improve and increase productivity. After training, the employee will assist with the assembly of RSPC and UDS systems, electrical component assembly of ventilation equipment, and Tig fillet welding and finishing of stainless steel product and various components. The employee must be willing to assist in other areas as needed and follow company policies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
- Minimum six (6) plus months’ relevant assembly experience
- Basic electrical wiring experience
- Ability to install flex and EMT conduit
- Working knowledge of the following tools: drill motors, cutoff saws, grinders, drill press, tapping tools, belt sanders, and various hand tools.
- Proficiently read and use a tape measure.
- Read, write, and understand English to read/interpret prints, diagrams and drawings.
- Skills to perform basic math.
- Must be able to locate materials and set up work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Must be a team player, including good interpersonal skills
- Certify and wear respiratory protection for certain welding applications.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with sweating copper
- Ability to layout circuits and install wiring
- Basic Tig & MiG welding, grinding and finishing skills
- Experience with sheet metal manufacturing
- Experience working in a production environment
