In a training capacity and under the guidance of an OJT monitor/mentor, the Electrician Apprentice will inspect, isolate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical malfunctions and equipment using various test instruments. This role involves maintaining and repairing electrical systems, testing electrical equipment for safety and efficiency, fabricating electrical parts, and participating in the maintenance and operation of electrical tools and equipment. The apprentice will troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including motors, controls, scales, and other electric equipment. They will test and monitor electrical systems, equipment, and components to locate and correct problems, and ensure the proper function of electrical safety devices. The role also includes installing, troubleshooting, and repairing new equipment and systems, learning NEC requirements, and maintaining appropriate service and repair records. The apprentice will respond safely to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service, and follow blueprints to determine wiring locations and ensure compliance with building and safety codes. Other duties may be assigned by management.
