About The Position

As an Electrician Apprentice at Prime Controls, you will help wire, install, troubleshoot, and test instruments and PLCs. You will work from diagrams and schematics to prepare sites for automation system design and programming. The role may require travel depending on the project. Requirements

Previous experience with tools and equipment such as a Sawzall and drills.
Previous experience running EMT and rigid conduit.
Previous experience with conduit benders.
Previous experience installing enclosures.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience installing stainless steel pneumatic tubing.
Previous experience with cable tray.
Previous experience with terminations.
Previous experience with material and manpower takeoffs.

Responsibilities

Work from diagrams and schematics to wire instruments and prepare sites for automation system design and programming.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
Install tubing for instruments.
Pull wiring through conduit and label it appropriately.
Connect wiring to controllers and instruments.
Test circuit continuity and verify electrical compatibility and component safety using electrical testing instruments.
Mount instruments and PLCs in panels using hand tools.
Observe installed equipment or systems to identify hazards and determine whether adjustments, relocation, or replacement are needed.
Travel when required by the project.
