About The Position

Operates, maintains, and repairs power generation systems and their controllers. Provides analysis and implements corrective actions to maintain equipment and systems operation to ensure maximum efficiency and stable performance. The primary focus of this position is the maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic control devices for generators, switch gear, and electrical distribution systems.

Requirements

• Five years of experience as an Electrician.
• One year of experience in maintenance, repair, and operation of electrical power generators.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid LA Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs, replaces, and installs electrical systems including switches, fixtures, motors, transformers, controllers, associated electronic components, distribution, and wiring.
• Completes periodic inspections, recurring maintenance requirements, and associated documentation. Maintains systems to conform to written guidelines and applicable changes.
• Acts as plant operator for electrical and power generation using work orders, parts requests, drawings/schematics/blueprints, and manuals to accomplish assigned duties.
• Knowledgeable of cathodic protection, communications, and grounding systems.
• Develops and provides training to other technical staff and performs comprehensive troubleshooting and repair.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
