The Maintenance Controls Technician position is responsible for supporting production by ensuring minimal downtime due to Controls related malfunction. The Maintenance Controls Technician will work under the direction of Maintenance Electrician 2s as well as the Maintenance & Tooling Manager in administering planned and unplanned preventative maintenance, breakdown repair and upgrade measures on all Controls related equipment. This includes proper and in-depth documentation of all administered preventative maintenance and breakdown repair measures both planned and unplanned. At times the Maintenance Controls Technician will also be expected to perform other Maintenance related functions including but not limited to piping, mechanical repairs, and maintenance of the buildings & grounds. It will be the expectation of the Maintenance Controls Technician to develop his/her skills while accumulating the necessary trade related hours working under a Licensed Electrician to gain their State of CT E2 Unlimited Journeymans License within a reasonable and agreed amount of time.
