About The Position

Industrial Power Solutions (IPS), a Sundt Company, is seeking skilled Electrician 2 professionals to join our growing team. This role is ideal for electricians with solid industrial or data center electrical construction experience who are ready to take the next step in their careers. As an Electrician 2, you will perform electrical installations on large-scale industrial and mission-critical projects while working alongside experienced Foremen, Superintendents, and Journeymen. You'll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality work while continuing to develop your technical expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of industrial, commercial, or data center electrical construction experience.
  • Approximately 4,000-6,000 documented electrical field hours preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to install conduit, cable tray, wire, and electrical equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Experience bending conduit using hand and mechanical benders.
  • Experience with underground electrical installations preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the project team.
  • Perform high-quality electrical work safely and efficiently.
  • Install conduit, cable tray, grounding systems, supports, and electrical equipment.
  • Pull wire, make terminations, and assist with equipment installation and startup activities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Install electrical systems in accordance with NEC requirements, project specifications, and company quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and jobsite equipment safely.
  • Identify and communicate potential safety hazards and quality concerns.
  • Support project productivity by eliminating waste such as waiting, rework, unnecessary movement, and material handling.
  • Mentor less experienced apprentices when appropriate while continuing to expand trade knowledge.
