Requirements

• Successful completion of the Electrician Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Four years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment
• An equivalent combination of experience and training
• Possess an active motor vehicle license
• Pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap
• Able to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures
• Locate and correct power failures and short circuits
• Run new electrical lines and lay out, measure, cut, thread, and bend rigid or thin wall conduit
• Install open and concealed wiring, lighting fixtures, fluorescent fixtures, LED fixtures, and replace ballasts
• Install air conditioners and service both old and new units
• Lead assigned helpers, maintain tools and equipment, and follow DMVA safety rules by reporting hazards or incidents immediately
