Requirements

• Successful completion of the Electrician Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possess an active motor vehicle license.
• Pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
• Able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Install, alter, and repair electrical systems, fixtures, and related equipment
• Locate power failures, identify short circuits, and correct electrical issues
• Lay out conduits, run new lines, and install open or concealed wiring and fixtures
• Replace breakers, switches, receptacles, ballasts, and lighting components
• Install air conditioners and service new and existing units
• Keep tools in good condition and complete preventive maintenance as needed
