Requirements

• Successful completion of the Electrician Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Four years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment
• An equivalent combination of experience and training
• Possession of an active motor vehicle license
• Must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap
• Must be able to perform essential job functions
• Conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports

Responsibilities

• Install, alter, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures
• Locate power failures and short circuits to restore proper function
• Replace circuit breakers and run new electrical lines as needed
• Install wire, lighting fixtures, switches, receptacles, and ballasts
• Install and service air conditioners and prepare material lists for assigned jobs
• Read blueprints and lay out electrical conduit for lighting and power
