About The Position
This position is responsible for instrumentation and electrical troubleshooting, including the maintenance and troubleshooting of large electric shovels, haul truck communication systems, large pumping station motor control centers, synchronous mill starters, and numerous variable speed drive systems. The role is assigned to an operating crew and involves working rotating 12-hour shifts with limited call-outs.
Requirements
- Capable of working safely around high voltage including substation work
- Minimum of 4 years industrial electrical experience
- Good working knowledge of high voltage 3 phase power systems
- Good working knowledge of DC drives
- Good working knowledge of VFD’s
- Good working knowledge of PLC’s
- Good working knowledge of electronic control systems
- Ability to work safely around high and low voltage electrical circuits
