About The Position

We are seeking an ambitious, safety-focused NETA Level II Certified Technician to perform electrical testing, maintenance, and commissioning services for low, medium, and high-voltage power distribution systems. Working under the guidance of a Senior NETA III/IV Lead, you will execute hands-on testing across the DMV region in environments like data centers, utilities, and commercial facilities while actively gaining the field hours required to advance your career.

Requirements

  • Current, active NETA Level II Technician certification is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical power testing, field service, or heavy industrial electrical work.
  • Experience testing low and medium-voltage molded case or insulated case circuit breakers, transformers, and basic switchboard components.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces or elevated areas, and participate in local DMV field travel.
  • Must be open to occasional night or weekend shifts for planned facility shutdowns.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required for field travel).
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening to obtain clearances for secure customer sites.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine visual, mechanical, and electrical tests on switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, cables, and ground systems under minimal supervision, adhering to NETA ATS/MTS standards.
  • Accurately record test values, insulation resistance measurements, and digital asset data to assist in compiling comprehensive technical reports for clients.
  • Safely set up, operate, and maintain specialized diagnostic test sets (e.g., megohmmeters, digital multimeters, secondary injection test sets).
  • Strictly follow all OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety protocols. Participate in daily safety briefings and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA).
  • Collaborate effectively with senior on-site leads and assist in guiding newer NETA Level I assistants.
