About The Position

The Electrical Testing Field Engineer 1 installs, programs, tests, and maintains protective relaying and metering systems used in transmission and distribution operations. The role supports the reliability and safety of electrical systems through diagnostic evaluations, schematic interpretation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment. Work may take place in energized electrical rooms, vaults, substations, industrial facilities, data centers, and utility environments, and may involve travel and emergency callouts. The position performs acceptance and maintenance testing of electrical power systems and relays, circuit breakers, switchgear, and transformers. It requires documenting test results, following electrical safety practices, and coordinating with department personnel, engineers, project managers, and clients. The role may also provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior technicians.
