About The Position
The Electrical Test Engineer will support lab testing of electric drive components and systems, including performance and durability testing and failure/root cause investigation. This is an opportunity to work in the rapidly growing electrification field, partnering with cross-functional teams across design, controls, simulation, and facility design while developing a strong foundation in motor and generator fundamentals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering and 1-2 years of relevant experience OR Associates degree plus 4-5 years of relevant experience
- Electrical testing experience
- Product development experience
- Failure analysis
- Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform lab testing of electric drive components and systems, including performance and durability testing.
- Lead and support failure and root cause investigations on motor and generator components.
- Conduct detailed, hands-on inspections involving electrical checks, visual inspections, x-ray review, and material and fluid analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams spanning design, controls, simulation, and facility design.
- Document findings and communicate results clearly to team members and stakeholders.
