About The Position

ASRC Federal System Solutions (AFSS) seeks an ORION Electrical Test Engineer to join our team at Kennedy Space Center, FL. This role involves developing test plans, test procedures, and automated test scripts for system and subsystem-level electrical tests on the Orion spacecraft and test articles. The engineer will perform test procedure and test script checkout in the Orion Test Labs in Denver and Houston, and execute test procedures on current flight articles (Artemis II and Artemis III), the Environmental Test Article (ETA), and future vehicles under Orion production. Collaboration with team members across the program, including systems engineering, CPEs/RSEs, software, test labs, manufacturing, quality, and NASA, is a key aspect of this position. ASFF brings a 14-year history of delivering high-performance space systems engineering, integration and satellite operations services to civil and defense agencies. ASFF provides these services throughout all phases of the program life cycle and across the entire space systems architecture, including space and ground assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other related degree
  • 2-4 years experience
  • Hands-on electrical, computer or aerospace test experience
  • Willing to work extended hours, including 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends, in support of test activities
  • Willing to travel

Nice To Haves

  • Fundamental knowledge of test engineering, operations, and processes
  • Experience writing test plans, test procedures, or technical documents
  • Experience in subsystem/system electrical integration and powered testing
  • Experience preparing for and executing spacecraft or system-level tests
  • Knowledge of the Orion spacecraft or experience on a production spacecraft program
  • Current or former Certified Test Conductor (CTC)
  • Experience with spacecraft commanding and telemetry monitoring software
  • Familiarity with electrical ground support equipment and test equipment
  • Experience using Automation Framework tools
