Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for an Electrical Test Conductor (Level 2/3) to join their team within the Integration, Test, and Launch directorate. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California. The Spacecraft Operations team is responsible for the assembly, test, and launch of a wide variety of spacecraft and payloads, providing an opportunity to work in a team environment in collaboration with the industry’s best Test Engineers, Test Conductors, and Technicians. The role also supports launch operations at facilities around the globe. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring engineering tests serve mission objectives and that appropriate mechanisms are in place to execute the tests. This individual will oversee the operational aspects of engineering tests and serve as a liaison between mechanical/electrical operations and the program, engineering, and line management teams. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of tests, including the development, release, and execution of electrical test plans, test schedules, and test procedures for all phases of testing. The role involves interfacing with system and test engineering disciplines to develop tests and test data requirements, as well as providing mission control room support in the achievement of project milestones. The Test Conductor will be required to support anomaly resolution and lead response teams as required to troubleshoot system level issues. They will present applicable data at program and functional reviews. The selected candidate must possess excellent leadership characteristics and consistently model NG Values and Behaviors, fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment. Collaboration with other Test Conductors and various disciplines including SV Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, and Thermal and Dynamic Test departments is essential. The candidate must be able to work through various challenges to ensure program success and reach important milestones. This position requires outstanding written and oral communication skills and the individual will serve as a focal point between management, design & test engineering, and the test operations team. The individual must be able to work under general direction to determine and develop approaches to solutions, work both within a team environment and independently, be self-motivated, thorough, and detailed, and be willing to learn additional engineering discipline areas.
