About The Position

This role involves working with schematics and wiring industrial equipment, participating in assembly work for control cabinets, pendant controls, electrical boxes, and special attachments. The technician will take ownership of industrial wiring projects, install automation and prototype equipment, and troubleshoot components. The position requires measuring, examining, and testing AC/DC circuits with a multi-meter to diagnose problems, and performing three-phase wiring for various motors. Support and opportunities will be provided by the engineering team with motion control systems, PLCs, and robotics. The role also involves ensuring conformance to specifications, assisting in development through training and shared knowledge, and identifying equipment and process concerns to provide improvement suggestions.

Requirements

  • Motivation to learn something new daily
  • Electrical knowledge or experience associated with building industrial manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to read and utilize electrical schematics
  • Ability to build and wire industrial control cabinets
  • Associate degree in industrial electricity from a two-year or technical school
  • Two years of practical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with industrial electrical control and automation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Three-phase wiring of miscellaneous motors for spindles, conveyors, pumps, and VFDs

  • Ensure conformance to specifications and assist in development with the team through training and shared knowledge
  • Identify equipment and process concerns and provide improvement suggestions
