About The Position

The Electrical Technician is responsible for process control and maintenance activities, including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. This role involves setting up and operating processing equipment to manufacture products according to established quality standards to meet production demands. The technician will also troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, and write and execute equipment qualifications to ensure operations are within established parameters. This position may also involve monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Requirements

4+ years of experience preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Associates degree in electrical/electronics or equivalent education and experience preferred
Skills in computer operations and functions, both Hardware (CPU, monitors, board level) and Software (Office, AutoCAD electrical) preferred
Knowledge of Allen Bradley Hardware: Control Logix, Panel View Plus (HMI), Micrologix, PLC 5, Servers and Software, RSlogix 5000, RSLinx, Factory Talk, CCW, Drive Executive, Visual Motion preferred

Responsibilities

Observe all safety precautions and regulations.
Be proactive in addressing safety issues and concerns.
Responsible for reporting all safety hazards and potential unsafe working conditions.
Provide leadership and technical support in the areas of capital project installations, equipment upgrades, equipment startup, process troubleshooting, and production support.
Support of such activities involves the full knowledge and use of the electrical & machine shop, as well as lengthy endeavors on the production equipment.
