About The Position

This position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and efficient operation of all electrical systems throughout the plant. Electrical systems range from low voltage instrumentation signals to 480vac 3phase.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions and manuals.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, ladder logic and blueprints.
  • Competent understanding and use of various electrical meters and testers.
  • Basic computer literacy. Having basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Must communicate and work well with team members. Must speak clearly, listen well and cooperate.
  • Attention to detail. Work must be neat, accurate and complete.
  • Analytical problem solving.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Tenacity-must stick with the problem until it's solved.
  • Take initiative. See a problem or a need and engage.
  • Understand and perform safe electrical work practices.
  • Competent use of ordinary hand tools, electrical tools, conduit benders and threaders.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of PLCs, HMIs, Instrumentation, industrial motor control and sensors.
  • Knowledge of national and local electrical codes.
  • Rigid conduit bending, threading installation.
  • Current State of Idaho Journeyman card.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, recording and diagnosing a wide range of complicated electrical circuit problems using electrical meters and testers.
  • New industrial conduit, wire, sensor and equipment installations.
  • Repair and replacement of faulty electrical systems, sensors and equipment.
  • Preventative/Predictive Maintenance work orders.
  • Following company standards for food safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Keeping track of parts and equipment using inventory management system.
  • Logging daily activities and communicating with other team members about problems and solutions.
  • Continual learning, from directed education and self-taught studies.
  • Assist in the training of other electricians.
