About The Position

The in-house Electrical Technician is responsible for performing electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work across all facilities, including the new building and clean room environments. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operation of electrical systems while supporting ongoing projects and reducing reliance on external contractors. All applicants must possess or be qualified to obtain a U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance. Preference will be given to candidates with an existing U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance. Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship preferred.
  • Current state electrician license or journeyman certification required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Strong problem solving skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in various environments including confined spaces and elevated areas.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in specialized environments such as clean rooms is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with industry standards and local codes.
  • Complete small to medium electrical projects in-house to reduce downtime and outsourcing costs.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and respond to service requests promptly to support facility operations.
  • Assist with electrical work required for new building setup, clean room installation, and future expansions.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards, maintain system reliability, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of electrical work, inspections, repairs, and materials used.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff, contractors, engineers, and project teams as needed.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs and contribute to continuous improvement of facility systems.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely, following OSHA guidelines and company policies.
