Reporting directly to the Electrical Assembly Supervisor we’re hiring Electrical Technicians of all experience levels — from apprentices and residential electricians to seasoned journeymen and master electricians. Requirements

  • Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with tools or hands-on work is preferred, and we’re happy to train the right person.
  • Electrician in Training: 0–2,000 hours of hands-on electrical or related experience preferred.
  • Electrical Technician LV 1: 2,000 hours of on-the-job electrician experience, Passes IE Electrical Technician 1 Competency Test with a score of 75% or higher.
  • Electrical Technician LV 2: 2,000-4,000 hours of on-the-job electrician experience, Passes IE Electrical Technician 2 Competency Test with a score of 75% or higher.
  • Electrical Technician LV 3: 4,000-6,000 hours of on-the-job electrician experience, Passes IE Electrical Technician 3 Competency Test with a score of 75% or higher.
  • Electrical Technician LV 4: 6,000 - 8,000+ hours of on-the-job electrician experience, Passes IE Electrical Technician 4 Competency Test with a score of 75% or higher.
  • Senior Electrical Technician: 8,000+ hours of on-the-job electrician experience, Passes IE Electrical Technician 3 Competency Test with a score of 75% or higher.
  • Journeyman license in Utah or Colorado.
  • Ability to read and understand wiring schematics and layout diagrams.
  • Experience with various hand tools, crimpers, wire strippers, electrical testing equipment.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Confident with the ability to work closely with other technicians and management while keeping production flowing and meeting due dates.
  • Demonstrated proficiency to achieve high quality results in electrical assemblies, wiring and troubleshooting through continual attention to detail and anticipation of potential problems during the early planning and design review stages.
  • Must be detailed oriented and committed to producing quality work.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers, supervisors, management, etc.
  • Must be familiar with current electrical codes, MSHA requirement, NEC, etc.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to obtain valid OSHA forklift and Overhead Crane certification.
  • Must be able to work a 40-hour work week and additional time as required.

Responsibilities

  • Wiring PC boards, controls, switches, and various other electrical assemblies from schematics, layout diagrams, and written specifications.
  • Interpreting and working from technical assembly prints to wire and install electrical components, switch gears, electrical switches and electronic instruments and devices, such as programmable process controllers (PLCs), data loggers, relays, breakers and other electronic instrumentation equipment used in the manufacture and repair of electrical power stations and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing the cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and making necessary repairs.
  • Conducting electrical testing and recommending or initiating modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
  • Working from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions.
  • Determining reparability and cost to repair equipment, refurbishing equipment and replacing defective parts.
  • Adjusting, calibrating, aligning, and modifying circuitry and components and recording effects on unit performance.
  • Performing installations compliant with current electrical codes and MSHA regulations.
  • Responsible for assigned project completion, quality and delivery according to work schedule.
  • Carrying out initial control testing; ensuring quality standards are met and signing off on end of project QA forms.
  • Properly caring for and maintaining tools in good operating condition; ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored at the end of each shift.
  • Maintaining regular and consistent job attendance, coming to work on time.
