About The Position

The Electrical Technician is responsible for wiring and performing functional testing on pressure booster systems and custom skid packages. This role also includes maintaining inventory of electrical supplies, keeping a clean and organized work area, and adhering to all company safety procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years of experience as an electrician or similar field.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and flow diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of NEC codes and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of electrical best practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Interpret wiring diagrams and schematics to wire and troubleshoot control panels for hydronic heating, domestic water, and pumping systems.
  • Perform quality control inspections on custom-fabricated equipment to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and operational standards.
  • Verify control wiring and panels meet NEC codes and specifications, including powering up panels and conducting flow tests to confirm functionality and sequence of operation (SOO).
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical and controls issues, collaborating with the Controls Manager to implement solutions.
  • Apply electrical principles to safely power and support HVAC-related equipment.
  • Coordinate with engineering to complete QC reports and operational documentation.
  • Lay out conduit and electrical pathways for custom skids, ensuring proper wire sizing and termination based on vendor diagrams and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with hydronic technicians and follow direction from the Production Manager to meet project timelines.
  • Maintain clear communication with control panel manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and sales to support project success.
  • Assemble IOM QR codes and document incomplete tasks or non-conformities identified during QC.
  • Operate shop equipment (e.g., cutters, grinders, benders, welders, forklifts) safely to complete projects.
  • Maintain and order electrical inventory, including job-specific materials.
  • Schedule and oversee electrical subcontractors when applicable.
  • Access and download project-related documentation from the internet and company ERP system.
  • Travel to job sites as needed.
  • Work overtime as required based on business needs.
