About The Position

Ground/Water Treatment & Technology, LLC (GWTT) is seeking a full-time Industrial Electrical Technician. GWTT is a leading environmental contractor specializing in construction dewatering, remediation, and environmental construction services. The company offers design/build services for temporary and permanent treatment systems, and operation and maintenance services for various treatment systems. This role offers a challenging, growth-oriented work environment with opportunities to develop technical and managerial skills. Some experience in the environmental field is preferred, but training will be provided to the right individual who is dependable and self-motivated. The ideal candidate works independently and is comfortable in a team environment.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years in an industrial electrical setting.
  • Experienced in 480 volt, 3 phase voltage.
  • Working knowledge of the NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA standards for 1910 and 1926 related to safe electrical practices.
  • Possess own hand tools.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • 70 E authorized and trained.
  • Arc Flash training.
  • Able to pass physical/respirator fit test.

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience in the environmental field.
  • Experience with explosion proof wiring.
  • OSHA 10 hour (or obtain after employment).
  • OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper (or obtain after employment).
  • OSHA 40 hour training is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to interpret and implement electrical schematics control wiring diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and test electrical components such as motors, instrumentation, light fixtures, circuit breakers and transformers.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair control panels, electric motors, and electrical equipment.
  • Ability to isolate and repair defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment.
  • Bend and install rigid PVC and EMT conduit.
  • Pull electrical cables and wires.
  • Utilize electrical hand tools, and voltage and amperage measuring and recording devices.
  • Daily interaction with customers, vendors, suppliers, and coworkers.
  • Assist the maintenance department with any/all general maintenance and construction duties.
