About The Position

This position is for an Electrical Technician/Low Voltage Technician who will be trained on security systems, including access control and camera installations. The role involves installing cabling, field equipment, and control equipment enclosures in customer locations, adhering to national electric code, company, and customer guidelines. The technician will use electronic test equipment to troubleshoot complex installation problems and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals. The job requires knowledge of computer programs (word processing, spreadsheets, databases), CCTV and access control systems, and media storage. Key abilities include planning, organizing, and prioritizing work with attention to detail, effective communication (oral and written), and establishing coordinated working relationships. The role also demands the ability to analyze information and work unsupervised, demonstrating self-motivation. Responsibilities include the installation of complex integrated security systems, encompassing wiring, equipment, and programming of access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems for clients.

Requirements

  • Any kind of cabling/wiring experience is accepted, and training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Knowledge of CCTV and access control systems.
  • Knowledge of media storage.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work paying close attention to details.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining coordinated working relationships.
  • Ability to analyze information.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
  • Significant skill in Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
  • Experience with Access Control and Burglar.
  • Understanding of the function and design of Alarm Systems.
  • Experience with IP addressable security devices.
  • Computer literacy including advanced TCP/IP networking skills.

Responsibilities
