Electrical Technician IV
About The Position
The Electrical Technician IV will be responsible for assembling and building I&C system components, panels, and assemblies according to engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions. This role involves performing bench-level testing of various equipment, supporting system integration, and assisting with prototype builds, troubleshooting, and calibration. The technician will execute calibration and verification procedures, document results, and maintain lab organization and safety. Collaboration with engineers and other technicians is key to resolving issues and contributing to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- High School diploma or Associate's degree.
- Instrumentation and control (I&C) equipment assembly.
- Soldering.
- Cable and harness fabrication.
- Panel wiring.
- Multimeters.
- Oscilloscopes.
- Functional testing.
- Prototype evaluation.
- Troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
- Assemble and build I&C system components, panels, and assemblies per engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- Perform bench-level testing of sensors, transmitters, controllers, and signal conditioning equipment.
- Support system integration by wiring, configuring, and verifying I&C connections and test setups.
- Assist with prototype builds, hardware troubleshooting, and calibration activities.
- Execute calibration and verification procedures using standard lab equipment.
- Document build and test results, including assembly records, data, and nonconformance reports.
- Maintain lab organization, tool control, and a safe working environment.
- Support functional and environmental testing such as continuity, insulation resistance, and signal verification.
- Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and lab protocols.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to identify and resolve design or test issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by updating procedures and work instructions.
- Prepare instrumentation and test setups for system-level or field testing as required.
