About The Position

Would you like to contribute to the protection of the environment and the operational reliability of our pipeline systems by assisting with maintaining all electrical, instrumental, and mechanical aspects of the pipeline? The role of our Electrical Technician I focuses on preventative maintenance and repairs with little or no interruption to service. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic trouble shooting ability.
  • Valid driver’s license & clear driving record.
  • Must live (or relocate) within 30 miles of the reporting location.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or Vocational education
  • Basic understanding of AC/DC power and controls.
  • Experience in maintenance of crude oil pipeline system, pumping station(s) or delivery facilities or certified technical designation.
  • Familiarity with pertinent equipment (pumps, motors, valves, switchgear, flow meters, programmable logic controls, motor control centers, uninterruptible power supplies and instrumentation).

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document maintenance activities in compliance with regulatory, company O&M, safety, and maintenance plan requirements (including Maximo PM entries).
  • Execute emergency response and first responder duties; complete all required safety, technical, and OQ training.
  • Develop and implement equipment lock-out/tag-out procedures and perform testing on electrical safety equipment.
  • Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Operations, and Control Center teams to plan, schedule, and execute maintenance work efficiently.
  • Maintain station/terminal records, update drawings, perform ground disturbance locates, and assist Mechanical Technicians as required.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support safe and reliable operations.
