About The Position

Keith Company, designs and manufacture state-of-the-art industrial furnaces, kilns, and ovens sold to domestic and international customers. We are currently seeking an Electrical Technician, Field Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Service Manager and Electrical Engineering Manager, the Electrical Technician, Field Engineer is responsible for the layout, wiring, implementation and testing of the electrical systems on all manufactured products. This involves day-to-day operation with actual manufacturing processes of building furnace equipment.

  • Minimum of 3 years prior work experience related to electrical systems.
  • Has a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with gas burner systems or HVAC background is helpful.
  • Experience in forklift driving, scissor lift, and other common shop machinery is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical knowledge includes high and low voltage, schematics, drives systems, temperature controllers, PID loops, basic understanding of PLC programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Experienced in the use of a variety of electrical control devices (Controllers, PLC, VFD).
  • Wires all electrical systems maintaining UL and CE compliance, background knowledge of ISO 9001 is helpful.
  • Knowledge of 3-phase, single phase, AC and DC circuits.
  • Knowledge of 4-20mA and 0-10V loops.
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Fabricate and install parts that conform to Engineering CAD drawings.
  • Analyzing needs and product requirements to improve designs.
  • Provide feedback of potential improvements to Engineering Departments.
  • Provide equipment startup commissioning at end user facility.
  • Other duties as assigned.
