About The Position

The Electrical Tech-Journeyman II is responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools. This role involves inspecting and diagnosing malfunctioning tools, equipment, electrical systems, apparatus, and components, and connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. The technician will use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, and test batteries in generators and emergency lighting. Key duties include planning the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and current National Electric Code and local codes, and reading and following blueprints/schematics. The position requires responding to repair requests, performing preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and appliances, and maintaining maintenance inventory while requisitioning parts and supplies. Additionally, the role involves adhering to all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, completing safety training and certifications, and properly storing flammable materials. The technician must maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets, and interact professionally with guests and colleagues, including welcoming guests, anticipating service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and fostering positive working relationships. Physical demands include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance, and grasping, turning, and manipulating objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The role also includes performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
