About The Position

The Electrical Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the electrical build, wiring, and integration of custom manufacturing equipment. This role leads a team of 5–6 electrical technicians and coordinates panel shop activities to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of complex systems. The position requires strong hands-on experience with industrial wiring, control panels, PLCs, and HMIs, along with proven leadership in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on wiring custom equipment
  • Proven experience working with industrial control systems, including PLCs and HMIs
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of electrical wiring practices, control panel assembly, and industrial automation systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
  • Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems and control circuits
  • Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and safety standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a technical team
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of 5–6 electrical technicians, providing daily direction, technical support, and performance feedback
  • Oversee wiring and electrical assembly of custom equipment, ensuring compliance with schematics, standards, and customer specifications
  • Coordinate and manage panel shop operations, including control panel layout, wiring, and testing
  • Install, connect, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and associated control systems
  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials to guide build processes
  • Collaborate with engineering, mechanical assembly, and production teams to resolve design or build issues
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, electrical codes, and company quality requirements
  • Plan and prioritize workloads to meet project deadlines and production schedules
  • Support system testing, commissioning, and debugging of equipment prior to shipment
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices for efficiency and quality
  • Maintain accurate documentation of builds, changes, and issues
