About The Position

This position is responsible for planning preventive electrical maintenance, repair work, and project work to support a 24/7 high-speed manufacturing facility. This position directs and supervises industrial electricians.

Requirements

Technical diploma/ journey worker status preferred. Will consider relevant work experience, certifications, etc…
3-5 years’ manufacturing experience, food and beverage production preferred.
Prior leadership or supervisory responsibility. Union environment preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Knowledge of Allen Bradley CLX.
Knowledge of electrical code.

Nice To Haves

Medium voltage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, assign and supervise work of industrial electricians
Review work planning and weekly scheduling with affected departments.
Approve emergency work and reschedule planned work.
Obtain pricing, place orders and prepare usage estimates for needed supplies, parts, tools and materials.
Arrange for work support, materials and parts to minimize interruptions in operations and ensure work is done in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Develop and maintain PM schedule for equipment and facilities to reduce unplanned downtime.
Maintain records of scheduled and unscheduled work for development of work order system.
Review data to make recommendations for improvement and provide solutions to electrical maintenance related issues.
Create and implement SOP’s for areas of responsibility.
Provide for training and continuing education opportunities for direct reports.
Maintain a working knowledge of plant operations to assist other departments with area expertise as needed.
Assist in planning large projects and installations.
Strict adherence to all Company policies and State and Federal Guidelines.
Stay current with, and ensure adherence to, relevant OSHA and environmental regulations.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to troubleshoot and address short and long term maintenance.
Available to support 24/7 operation.
