About The Position

This position is responsible for planning preventive electrical maintenance, repair work, and project work to support a 24/7 high-speed manufacturing facility. This position directs and supervises industrial electricians.

Requirements

  • Technical diploma/ journey worker status preferred. Will consider relevant work experience, certifications, etc…
  • 3-5 years’ manufacturing experience, food and beverage production preferred.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory responsibility. Union environment preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley CLX.
  • Knowledge of electrical code.

Nice To Haves

  • Medium voltage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, assign and supervise work of industrial electricians
  • Review work planning and weekly scheduling with affected departments.
  • Approve emergency work and reschedule planned work.
  • Obtain pricing, place orders and prepare usage estimates for needed supplies, parts, tools and materials.
  • Arrange for work support, materials and parts to minimize interruptions in operations and ensure work is done in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and maintain PM schedule for equipment and facilities to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Maintain records of scheduled and unscheduled work for development of work order system.
  • Review data to make recommendations for improvement and provide solutions to electrical maintenance related issues.
  • Create and implement SOP’s for areas of responsibility.
  • Provide for training and continuing education opportunities for direct reports.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of plant operations to assist other departments with area expertise as needed.
  • Assist in planning large projects and installations.
  • Strict adherence to all Company policies and State and Federal Guidelines.
  • Stay current with, and ensure adherence to, relevant OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to troubleshoot and address short and long term maintenance.
  • Available to support 24/7 operation.
